and on, is our luck with cars, and cameras, and computers.....ridiculous!! There is something seriously wrong with the energy I put out to the electronic world. My new 6 mo camera mal-funtioned. The explorer we bought 2 months ago had its transmission and radiator blow up....now driving around my grandmas Ford Taurus...gotta love it.
Stats over a 2 year period:
2 cell phones
3 cameras
4 computers
4 cars
......*sigh*.....sometimes some people need more humility than others I suppose......

God's Covering
A couple weeks ago we started a new series "Under the Chuppah". Learning what it looks like to date, fall in love, and get married all under God's covering. So far its been amazing. Each time we do a series on love and sex, I feel like God is really working through it and getting His words and His heart on how we are to be in relationships accross to us.

20
Skylar, for the past 6 mo or so has been obsessed with the idea of freezing herself when she turns 16. Its something she is always talking about, "when I turn 16, i'm going to freeze. Its a good age to be." She's always asking me new questions about being 16 like, Mom, can I drive when I'm 16? Can I have a computer when i'm 16? can I wear make-up when i'm 16? and so on and so on. Its an on-going dialogue about being 16. She's in awe of the age.
So last night I put her to bed, and was in the family room doing my exercises. It had been a while and a new conversation begins:
Skylar- "Mom"
Me-"What hunny?"
Sky- "Can I drive when i'm 20?"
me- "Yes"
Sky- "Can I wear make-up when i'm 20?
me- "Yes"
Sky- "Can I have a computer when I'm 20?"
Me "yes skylar"
Sky- "Can we share clothes when i'm 20?"
Me- "Sure"
Sky- "Can I go to school when i'm 20?
Me- "Yep, you'll be in college"
Sky- *long pause*......."20 is a GREAT number, I'm DEFINITELY freezing at 20 now"
I thought I'd wait to tell her that when I was 20 I was a college drop-out and was married......

Some of my not so favorite things.....
5. Kids spilling sticky apple juice on my clean foors
4. Caleb spilling a whole bowl of cheerios on my floor
3. Tahoe tracking in muddy paws onto my floor
2. Ryder emtying the contents of the toilet onto the bathroom floor
(yes, there is a pattern here)
1. My floors that I pour so much time and effort cleaning every day being tainted in any way.....
Some may say, "Rebecca, you have a problem", which I would smile and say "You are absolutely right". What can I say? I like clean floors. Theres just something about the squeeky clean feel of them under my feet.... it makes my feet happy. The way they shine as your walking into the room. The smell of cleanliness. Its just very satisfying. Now don't get me wrong, there are rare moments far and few between when I can actually account for every square inch of my house's floors being perfect....but if I lived in a perfect world, this would, in fact, not be such a rare comodidy.

Copycat, copycat
"Mom, can we do a craft?"
"Mom, can we do a craft?"
"Mom, where are the crayons?"
"Mom, where are the crayons?"
"Caleb! STOP copying me!"
"Caleb, stop copying me"
"Moooom, Calebs copying me"
"Moooom, Calebs copying me"
"Caleb, stop copying your sister"
"Caleb, stop copying your sister"
What is it that is deeply rooted in every single childhood with every singly sibling and there innate need to copy???!!!! Where do they learn it? HOW do they learn it? I really want to know, cause I want to find these "copy teachers" and shove thier head into the ground......
We have entered into the stage of copying in our house......
